  • 38 Knuckle Pump

    I have a 38 motor that has the wrong pump. Palmers does not show pictures of 38 only pumps. If some one can help out please post some pictures of a 38 pump. If you have one for sale please send me PM.

    Sorry I don't have a photo but I will try to explain what one looks like. Here are two pump bodies.

    The body on the left is the 1936/'37 and the body on the right is the 1939/'40. The difference being the machining of the hole for the oil pressure Gage/sender. The 1938 pump is exactly the same shape but the hole for the oil sender is moved to the left, almost exactly between the two pump mounting holes. The pressure hole is in a boss that raises it higher off the pump body as in 1938 they used the same switch for OHV and Sidevalve engines.
