Positive portrayals of bikes in movies

I"m not talking about the old "b" chopper flics that some of us ( probably most) like to watch for a laugh but more along the line of "The World's fastest indian" which I feel was a high point in the depiction of the motorcycle to John Q.Public. 'The long Way Round" , The great escape, Che Guevera on that Norton, all come to mind. There is a new movie called "Mammoth" with Gerard Depardieu that I have yet to see . I am hoping the Munch figures prominently and positively.

not trying to start an argument here but I think the adjective "handicapped" goes against the whole point of the movie!

Can't forget about "On Any Sunday". One of the very best, in my humble opinion, motorcycle
movies ever made. Or "On Any Sunday II". Or "V Four Victory" which is about racing around
the Isle of Man. Joey Dunlop must have had a pair that dragged on the ground.

The so called handicap was in the eyes of society, not in the eyes, hearts, or minds of the bikers, the very point that makes it so good!

Positive Portrayals

Hey Barry, Thought I might mention Dust to Glory by Dana Brown. The film is more of a documentary on the Baja 1000, but the director gets into the dynamics of the personalities involved. It's sort of where old motocrossers go to race - Rick Johnson, Mouse McCoy, etc. The filming is incredible and well worth the watch. There is one story line of JN Roberts, one of the original desert racers, who at age 60+ is riding in a team effort with his son. JN goes down hard but gets up to pass riders half his age to make his check point so their team can go on. It's really a feel-good effort.

Then came Bozo? What was great about that show was when he would kick the bike you could hear the electric starter in action. Chris I don’t now her name but she looks like the desperate type.
