The Texas Hill Country National Road Run in Kerrville TX last week was a great success.
Approximately 120 riders and machines attended. Riders from Canada, The Midwest, California, Colorado, and many other locations arrived. Longest distance ridden (1,300 + miles)was a group of riders headed up by Jim Hawry from Indiana on his 30's VL. Longest distance traveled (2,530+ miles) was a group from Vancouver B.C. Howard Wagner won Oldest Combined Age - Man and Machine (Good thing young Howard has such old iron?).
Three days of incredible roads throughout the High Country with thousands of acres of Texas wildflowers in full bloom were enjoyed by all. Old friends shared stories, new friendships were started and other than a few roadside repairs (one flat tire, a tired coil etc...) no real issues were had. AMCA National Meet Director Ricky Najera has completed a comprehensive course on negotiating low water crossings....just ask him at the next meet
I encourage attendees to post your pictures in the Road Run picture section of The Forum as soon as you get a chance so all AMCA members can enjoy them.
The Cherokee Chapter of The AMCA, sponsor of the event, thanks all of you for your attendance, your support and donations to provide our members another great Road Run. We look forward to seeing Y'all again in the future.
