    As many of you out there are probably as smitten with quality older tools as I am i thought you might find this interesting. I have boxes full of nos unidentified rings but this is going to make life a lot easier. Made right in Red Fred's town!

            The bronze indicator dial is attached to a spring band which tightens around the ring compressing it. there is an adjustment on the back. As you can see the scale is calibrated to read the oversize. I think the thing is brilliant in it's simplicity and the quality of construction.
