Interesting photo of the ex- hillclimber, now road bike with a sidecar body which appears identical to,one I just had made. that's pretty cool that someone in what appears to be quite an old photo ran what is presumably a factory 2 cam competition machine on the street. reminds me of that photo of the German 8 valve H.D. with flex pipe exhausts and lights etc. Maybe it's a German tradition as post ww2 BMW made a one off ohc Rennsport racer into a road burner with lights for Walter Zehl I believe

yes this is one of Friis-Hansens bikes.this is not the one I pm you about.
This bike I pm you about was the one in the I beam fork threads with Morian setting on.But this here with the rear cowling on,we think that I have some of the parts from it.Also trying to find out about the story on it....but we are 50years late out...

How many "DAR/DAH" type machines did Friis-Hansen race?

I dont know how many they had,but I will see what I can find out.
This hill climb picture,we will try and enlarge up to see if its possible to read the engine number.
The worst thing I done is that 20 years ago I was out with an old man looking fore a model J frame. But when I saw that it had 3 bars back and no frame under the engine, said I to him that it not was orginal,he claimed it was orginal.I went from it...How stupid can you be,and yes I have been back, but man and frame was long gone.
If you find these numbers when you are looking, plese let me know

Re: numbers.
No offence, but those numbers are crazy!
Can you post photos of those numbers on the "Oddball Har-Dav Number" thread and I will comment on them there. If they are orig. H-D factory they are very strange. Are these more motors from Denmark?

Danish 8 valve
Glaser, what cool news, a Danish 8 valve. This was something I never have heard of or seen mentioned before.
Can you provide some more information on this?
How does this info match the knowledge of ie Jurassic or Harley Creation regarding where there was 8 valves?
Could this be one of the Swedish 8 valves that went on to Denmark on its way to England?

This is a great theory.
If it is true, I am so far behind that I will never die...

Friis-Hansen must have been some live wire. You guys ought to collect information about him and compile his story.
If you post photos of the serial numbers (below) on the "oddball Har-Dav" thread, could you please also post some of the belly numbers?
Comparing side and belly numbers will help us confirm what the numbers might mean. All three appear to be strange (oddball) models or numbers.
