Does anyone know what this is? I found it in a box of stuff that I used years ago to restore a 49 Whizzer. It was too big for the fender. It is 4 1/2" long and 4" tall. The face and head dress are translucent plastic and there is a hole in the bottom where a bulb could go to make it light up. It is chrome plated brass or bronze. It is marked Blackstone Mfg Co Inc-USA-Copyright 1950. Sorry for the fuzzy pictures, I am having camera problems. Thanks for any info.

I've seen them on e-bay advertised as marker lights, but they could be an after market accessory i.e. Buco, Superior, etc. Rigb.

        Hood ornament

I scored an NOS one, still in the box off of Ebay many years ago. It is complete with the instructions & template for mounting on a cars hood. I was going to secretly mount it on my neighbors Panhead to give the bike some class!!!!!!!!!!!!

                  Barry!

I thought everyone collected this stuff (attached).

Every bit of your stuff is delightfull!

                  But I don't buy much...
The items I collect are 'trophies' of sorts,
as all were either scrounged from garbage,
                  gifts,
or acquired the hard way: inherited.

Our taste in junk sure seems similar,
Might you be my real daddy?

PS: Back to topic: I have only had one Chief come through with a similar fender ornament. I was told it was "Pontiac", (which could mean anything since I'm a half-hour from Pontiac Illinois),.. and that it was designed by Art Deako.

                  He was my favorite, too.

PPS: Here's one is on my paleontological wall (second and third thumbnail).
