Geoffrey Erdos makes a nice shell in that style. My understanding was the winged bar and shield came into use around 59. Earlier was just the classic bar and shield. Anyone have photos/knowledge of batteries through the ages? ... PerryOriginally posted by Chris Haynes View Post -

Cotten - I believe the 54 on the bottom is year of manufacture with the dots around the circle representing passage of time (whether it's a dot a month or not I don't know). Here's a bottom and side view of an original Hummer/K battery I have.Originally posted by T. Cotten View Post
