i recently became a dealer for Dixie Mfg. and have yet to purchase any parts from them. Is it the same Junk as Taiwan Tedd or is it decent stuff? Thanks.

indianut,
Why would one become a dealer for a line they know nothing about? Wouldn't it make sense to ask before rather than later? Just curious?
And I have used Dixie sourced parts for over thirty years. Just a statement, neither a recommendation or criticism!

It is Dixie Distributing Company. The don't do manufatcuring. Some is very good. Some is not so good. Some is genuine H-D stuff.Be sure to visit;

Robbie, I became a Dealer simply to be able to buy the Indian Cylinders that they Import. After carefully researching them and knowing Something about what to expect when they arrive! Now that I have seen their catalog and pricing I am simply curious about the Quality of the other items they carry since there are minor issues with the India Indian cylinders. So I DO know about the Product I wish to buy from Dixie. Does that satisfy your curiosity? Now I am just wanting to know more since I do not learn Everything at once!

Indianut,
No offense intended, just curious, as your initial post did not indicate that you were attempting to purchase a particular item or knew what they did. In the old days there was Dixie Distributing, and Dixie international run as separate entities. I was never a dealer, only worked for dealers and would have stuff ordered on a regular basis. Lots of their older stuff was genuine H-D or US aftermarket like Superior, National Cycle, Comisky, etc. I used them as a source for engine and transmission roller bearings, and they used to be a great source for Goodyear tires as well. As time has gone on they sell more and more Asian junk just like everyone else. I have always felt like they were better than Tedd's stuff but that has a hint of nostalgia in it. I have never been an Indian guy so no opinion on any parts they sell for Springfield iron.
