Eric. I have an original paint export green 1948 rear fender tail section; the colour is the same as the export green on my bike.
If it will help I can Loan it too you. Or if you can wait I think know somebody that may have some original paint JD Parts which I could us to make a comparison to see if there is a difference between standard olive green and export olive green.

It looks like your on your way to finding the right green Eric! Ain't this club grand? Here's a link to an original paint V Model found in Sweden. I think SilentGreyFellow is right. It looks an awful lot like an olive out of the jar!

Sorry, but I don't believe for a minute that pic of the VL is original paint. Do you think the factory would put the decal on that crooked? The stripe on the tank aint right either. looks like a crummy period repaint job.Last edited by fabercycle; 11-08-2009, 09:18 PM.
