What is this part?

Does anybody know what this is? Its bin floating around the shop for five or six years. I’m tired of moving it around from one table to another. I looked in all my parts books with no success. Through it in the soup today to make it look purtty. Bob L

It looks like a bolt-on shift lever adapter for a GM THM 350-400-700 etc. It doesn't have a double-D hole to go on the shaft, but may bolt on to an existing lever.

looks like part of the shift linkage for the "turret top" or "pumpkin top" shovelhead 4 speed in an early FXR to me but i don't have a parts book to verify
