  • Motorcycle Ride in May 2010 Needs A Name

We at American Iron Magazine are early in the planning stages of a ride from Wheels Through Time museum in Maggie Valley, NC to the Riding Into History charity motorcycle show and ride in St. Augustine, FL the second week in May 2010.

Our initial plans look like we pull out of Wheels Through Time May 13 and ride to Augusta, GA. Then pull out the next morning and ride to St. Augustine, FL.

The ride will be mostly for classic motorcycles, but we will allow riders of all makes, models - domestic and import - to join us for an hour, a day or the entire ride.

More details as we finalize them.

We do, however, need a clever name for the his ride and are asking for suggestions here. Note: this is a motorcycle ride from Wheels Through Time to Riding Into History, so I'd bet there is some clever name to be had - so lay them on us!

Sounds good Buzz, but what about the new Southern National AMCA meet that is going to be held in North Carolina on May 14-16 2010? Won't be able to do both.

I have to agree with Scoop. This ride will interfere with our meet in May next year. A lot of planning and years of work have gone into getting a meet somewhere between PA and FL. Perhaps you can reroute the meet to include us. --Michael Paquette--Board of Directors of the Blueridge Chapter

Our dates are set far in advance by the Riding Into History team, but let's see if there is a way to include both to give people options.

Details on the Southern event please - dates and locations?

Due to the new AMCA Southern National Meet in the general vicinity and time we have decided not to do this run and compete.

Good luck to everyone involved in the Southern National Meet, we want to support you.
