I can't wait to ride my '48 like that, especially looking forward to tying a rope to the back of a semi and hitching a ride. Barry, that was Keenan Wynn.

If you have never read Keenan's autobiography, I highly recommend it. I recall it was called "My Father's Son" . Of course his dad was the famous Vaudvillian Ed Wynn. My friend , Homer Wood who bought the first Crocker twin Al sold ( #4) used to ride with Keenan and a whole bunch of Hollywood types that loved motorcycles.

That footage is from "Code Two". I found a DVD copy online from a shop in Canada.

You know that PBS tv show..."History Detectives"? ....I wonder if anyone has a way of determining the the actual bikes that were used in a movie like that?

One of you guys may be riding a bike that was a "movie star". That would be a rush.

Thanks for posting that, going to try to find a DVD copy.

I'll bet a million bucks my 1948 frame came from the bike Ralph Meeker was riding...... It was bent everywhere.

Ain't this stuff great? There's got to be more of it out there. I recall a great clip of a cop on a Henderson chasing down a Model T but for the life of me I can't remember where!

I just recently saw a Buster Keaton movie on TCM called 'Sherlock Jr.' in which he was riding a J model Harley from a sitting position on the handlebars. It was a long sequence and of coarse the bike ended up in a pond.

I did happen to see a History Detectives spot that covered an old red twin cyl. bike
with a double cross emblazoned on the fuel tanks. Not a bad story,
either, even featured a comment by Fatdog/br in his workplace
If I am not mistaken a handful of bikes were donated for use to vaccinate the locals.

Seems like it was about 2 yrs ago, it was good for grinz!
