  • A Monday thing on Wednesday. So I screwed up!

Came across this on the thehogpen.net. This is a great site to talk and bs. But these statistics are great and yes it has nothing to do with motorcycles. Bob L

Strange Statistics - Guns vs. Doctors
    Doctors

    (A) The number of physicians in the U.S. is 700,000.

    (B) The number of accidental deaths caused by physicians per year are 120,000.

    (C) The number of accidental deaths per physician is 0.171.

Statistics courtesy of U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

    Guns

    (A) The number of gun owners in the U.S. is 80,000,000. (Yes, that's 80 million.)

    (B) The number of accidental gun deaths per year, all age groups, is 1,500.

    (C) The number of accidental deaths per gun owner is .0000188.

    Statistics courtesy of FBI

SO, statistically, doctors are approximately 9,000 times more dangerous than gun owners.

Remember, 'Guns don't kill people, doctors do.'

how many should be shot for prescribing unneeded medicine? my blood pressure was 112 over 58 my whole life but my cholesterol was high. i took lipitor for 2 years and stopped because it was tearing up my stomach. soon as i quit 1 year ago my blood pressure went up to 195 over 105 and it won't go down even with medication exercise and no salt. if doctors stopped prescribing unneeded medicine that act alone would fix healthcare. don't get me going!!!!!

A doctor saved my life. Now, for the foreseeable future, I can come to the AMCA website and read and talk about M-O-T-O-R-C-Y-C-L-E-S.
