  • Baber Vintage Weekend - Race of the Century

Hey Guys - I am just following up on who might be planning on bringing a 1909 or older bike to ride in the Race of the Century at Barber Motorsports this year. I really need to get a close idea of the number of bikes and which class (single or Multi) they are assigned to.

If you love old bikes that are guaranteed to be older than you are you do not want to miss the Century Race at the Barber Vintage Festival. To qualify for this race the motorcycle must be at least 100 years old...or older! These bikes do not collect dust in the garage; they are the part of history that runs. Join the bikes and riders in the paddock on Saturday around Noon to see and hear the motorcycles that started the racing sport we all
    enjoy today.

    Thanks for your help

    Barber Vintage Weekend is Oct 9 - 11, 2009
Race of the Century will be around the Lunch hour on Saturday, Oct 10, 2009

Please contact me if you are planning on entering a Bike

Boy I wish I could but don't have anything that old.

Unless I stumble onto a screamin deal on an old motorcycle I'll have to wait until 2024 to compete on my 1924 Harley JD.

Way to Go Matt - Calvin's Bike finally made a solid lap - His bike has appeared at every "Race of the Century" race.
His is the only bike to appear all 5 times

Thanks for the posting and video. I was watching the race over by the pit entrance turn, and Joe was in the lead, but Grady was closing on him, when they came past. Couldn't hear the PA to find out who won. Glad to hear the manifold fix kept Matt in the race
