I wonder if he is running the original MR3 Linkert. I ran a KR on the street for 3 years with the original MR4 and you had to hand choke it but it would start right up after that. Although a very tough engine etc. I always thought the tranny was the weak link on the W series and as far as I know there were no upgrades from a WL other than ratios. That's pretty neat that you don't have to display the plates in California and don't need a brake light or does Jay have special immunity?

ahhh-good question, presently the WRTT, but the Manx would give it a run for the money!! Actually if I remember correctly, in the early 50's@ Daytona, the Manx kicked ass, taking many of the top ten spots.
