  • Have you seen this?

Was searching the web and ran across this clip as well as some stills from this movie called "Code Two" from 1953 about motorcycle officer training.

    www.youtube.com/watch?v=uMos8-lMskA

This looks like a really cool old movie, wish I could see the whole thing but it doesn't look like it's in print. Turner Classic Movies has it listed as something they have but it is not scheduled to be shown. There is a button to vote to have it shown at www.tcm.com/tcmdb/title.jsp?stid=2208. Maybe if we all vote they will show the whole thing.

I've got a copy of that movie. Picked it up a couple years ago on eBay. Lots of bike scenes in it. I guess I'll have to watch it again to remember the plot!

I think I saw this one as a kid 40 plus years ago. Don't remember much but did remember one of the Cops trying to find a truck that ran over his patrol partner. If it is the same movie he poured water on a road and looked at the tread pattern the truck tire made to make a match to find the culprit. I've always wanted to see it again.

              46EL,
That sounds like it, truck loaded with smuggled goods if I recall.

I saw it a few years ago on TCM. Well worth seeing. There is a great motorcycle training sequence that will make Knucklehead lovers squirm.

The story drags on but the great footage of the Knucks and Panheads makes it worth watching. Actually filmed at the LAPD Motor School. Those wide open spaces were the San Fernando Valley in 1952. Now home to 1.7 million people.
Notice that when he pours the water on the road and goes to look at it after the truck rolls through it that he stares at the water, not at the wet tire track. So much for intelligent actors. Then during the fight at the end his OHV police bike miraculously turns into a flathead just before it blows up.
