I used that site, Licenseplate.TV to have a replica plate made of my mint 1952 Washington M/C plate. They did a real nice job, and they worked from a digital photo. The color was wrong, and I had to have it repainted, but that cost a whopping $15.

there is a section called motorcycle plates I DID SEE IT and clicked on it. I think if you want a motorcycle plate you send them a photo of the one you want and they paint it to match the photo you send. the plates shown are just for show, a sample as you may

but $70.00 for a repop painted plate not even a stamped original style plate is somewhat a little high in my eyes, but then I may still be drunk from wauseon

still might looking into the 1914 plate as it was just a flat painted plate - not stamped.

As I mentioned earlier, I had Licenseplate.TV create a replica of my pristine original '52 plate that I paid very dearly for. The cost was $100, but that's only a fraction of what the original cost, so I feel I can run the replica and not worry about whether it gets bent or cracked, and I can keep the original safe at home. (see photo) The only problem I see with Licenseplate.TV is that they only produce motorcycle plates in a 4" x 6" size (as they told me). Luckily, that is the size of my original, but many old motorcycle plates are smaller or different sizes. Let alone those old Tennessee plates......

aka HAWG, there's a place in California that makes flat painted non-stamped plates. I found them when I was looking for someone who makes replicas. Might be worth a shot, good luck.

The plate for my 49 EL. Kali used the same plate from 47-49. Cam w a metal tag for year change. Think in 50 they reversed colors (black backround w/ yellow numbers). Somehere they changed the size of the plate as well as the number sizes because the plate on my 65 pan is original (black w/ yellow numbers) but it a larger and the numbers are thicker and a bit different shape

I have a buddy here on the island with a 1965 BC plate with a single digit number (5) on it. He was told that the first ....I believe it was seven.... plates went to the Victoria Police Dept, as Victoria is our capital city. His 65 is an ex Vancouver P/D bike. He'd definitely run it if we were allowed. As it is all he can do is stick it on top of his collector plate, but still cool none the less.

I just bought a 47 knuckle from a guy in Vancouver who brought it up here to Canada on Jan 5, 1974 from Seattle, with the 73 WA plate on it and never registered it here. I'm giving the plate to my buddy in WA as he said he could run it as a personal plate, not a year specific, on his bike, which is a 46 knuckle.

I have a '47 California plate that had a '50 renewal attached when i got it 30+ years ago. The renewal tag is stamped Folsom Prison on the back.
