    It still boils down to...

It takes a good man with a gun to stop a bad man with a gun.

This bill was passed and stayed for several years, then it expired. Now it is reborn again. This time, with much of it revised. It will pass. They have the votes to pass it and the President to sign it.

That is an old myth but it still serves as a good reminder to always be on guard from those who wish to steal yet another one of our freedoms. Oops... that sounded political, sorry.

Hear is a link showing that sb-2099 is an internet rumor. When I hear anything like this I always check snopes.com. This is about 9 years to late this bill was introduced in 2000.

    Interesting

The NRA is a much needed Club as is ours here. Unlike many of our Allies we can still bear arms as our Constitution States. Personally I've been a supporting Life Member since I was a young Adult ($135 then) LOL I enjoy target shooting Registered gun owners aren't the problem in most cases although more gun safes should be purchased. If it weren't for the NRA lobbiest, we would have lost our rights already IMHO. The stronger the membership, the less likely the politicos will want to take them. They don't want to lose re-election. I would encourage everyone that has guns to join the NRA.

Here is an awsome resource on gun statistics... http://www.justfacts.com/guncontrol.asp

As for the comment about protecting your collection of motorcycles... if you don't do it, nobody will. The average reaction time of the police in my area is 22 minutes. It's not that they don't have good intentions... they are just under-staffed or too busy writing tickets for riders without the proper DOT helmets.

After the liberals take your guns, they will go after your fossil-fuel-drinking motorcycles that don't meet emissions... It is happening here in the state of Washington in the form of proposed legislation! (old cars, trucks, motorcycles). They want to start out with a high tax, but who knows from there? Maybe someone can convert my knuckle to solar or wind power?

not being an american my help is no good

1st question - do you think members of the club are involved in this type of action.

2nd question - does this help in anyway or prevent me in any way of finding and collecting antque motorcycles.

it could prevent intruders for stealing my prized machines

    BACK DOOR GUN REGISTRATION

Senate Bill SB-2099 will require us to put on our 2009 1040 federal tax form all guns that you have or own. It may require fingerprints and a tax of $50 per gun.

The bill was introduced on Feb. 24th and will become public knowledge 30 days after it is voted into law. This is an amendment to the Internal Revenue Act of 1986. This means that the Finance Committee can pass this without the Senate voting on it at all.

The full text of the proposed amendment is on the U.S. Senate homepage

You can find it by doing a search by the bill number, SB-2099. http://ron.dotson.net/guns/sb2099.htm

You know who to call; I strongly suggest you do. Please send a copy of this e-mail to every gun owner you know to help STOP this bill !!!
