I have always loved junk yards. They don't exist here in southwest Florida. I grew up in New England and our family had friends in Boston. Their son Bob was my age and he too loved junk yards. I would venture to say he knew of every junk yard in the greater Boston area because he had broken into all of them. He was a very likable juvenile delinquent and I always thought I would wind up in jail when we visited these holy places but it never happened. He would even break into the offices looking for good stuff or keys for the cars that looked like runners. There is something about a junkyard that is better than any car show or museum I have ever been to. They really are sacred places. Good find Chris.

i would definatly have no problem being lost wandering around that place for a few days...wish my backyard looked like that!!!!

I grew up in the Warren Ohio area. On Rt. 45 going into town by some RR tracks there was an old abandoned station with "Stevens Garage" painted on the cinder block front. It was all overgrown. My Dad told me the guy who owned it wouldn't give up the yard for scrap during WW2 so they took his operating permit away. I don't know how true that is, just local folklore probably. Additional folklore was that the yard was full of big mean junkyard dogs. I finally got the nerve to sneak in one evening for a look see. All the cars were pre-war & were untouched except by mother nature. There were a lot of sizeable trees growing up through them. I never saw a dog.
I've been in the Cleveland area for many years now, about two years ago I noticed it had been cleaned out. Maybe it finally became scrap.
