Is this the CAMA Show that I used to attend in the early 80's? If I recall correctly, the show was held on the square in downtown Hanford the first time I made the trip over from Phoenix. I was blown away. Crockers, Super X's, customized Harley JD's and XA's, and early exotics that I never dreamed of seeing. Bill McMenamy showing up with every part I needed for my projects in one huge pile on the ground. It was a wonderfull atmosphere. The next year, the meet was relocated to a fairgrounds away from town.

CAMA Has been defunct for over 25 years. But the show has continued on by other people in different locations. It has been in Hanford, Visalia, Tulare, and back to Hanford. A good meet. Too bad it is only on Saturday. Perhaps the new promoter will bring back the Saturday night races.

I should also mention that if you are a seller or show entry and friday night camper, the famous "flashlight" swap will be going strong. Remember BYOB and flashlight.

            Koanes

Koanes, Frank Connally started it in L.A. in 1967. Later it moved to Palmdale College, then the Sears parking lot in Visalia, one year in Reedly, back to Visalia (next to the freeway for one year), then to the Tulare fairgrounds for a few years then over to the Tulare Ag center, and then down to Hanford's town center (around 1982) and then to the fairgrounds. After Frank gave it up Marc Michon took over passed it to Wil Dickie, and in turn Glenn Bator. It used to be the best with the exception of the first AMCA meets at La Mirada starting in 1972.

Thank You Gentleman for the history and information. I believe I have some pictures from the Hanford downtown meet and some from the following year at the Visalia? fairgrounds. If I can find them I'll put some up.
