The No Date issues are ones that were handed out at dealers. Some of these missing issues are the new model announcement issues.

You were right about no date, I must have picked up at dealer. It has all the 1973 bikes
What do you think about the end of the Enthusiast as we have known it. Fall 2008 is last
issue! Just recived HOG (for the harley-davidson Enthusiast since 1916) combining Hog Tales and Enthusiast

Neither one of the new magazines are worth anything. Simply advertising hype for the MoCo and little rider stories as in the days of old Enthusiast.

One of the best stories I know is of a guy pulling a travel trailer(Airstream?) with his '59 Chevy pickup. The truck breaks down in eastern Arizona. He unloads his '57 Panhead from the truck and has a local weld up a trailer hitch. Pull the travel trailer to Albuquerque where an old H-D dealer friend services the bike and sends him on his way to Missouri. Says he has to downshift to second to pull the hills. Wants to know if that is normal!! Guys were much tougher in those days.

Don't mean to hi-jack the thread with that last post. As a life member of HOG ( My card says Antique) and a long term collector of Enthusiasts as well as other M/C publications I have to say that the new publication is a sad testimony to the state of the current Motor Company. Not just low class but no class! During the depression the Enthusiast was a fine publication done regardless of expense to keep the riders and prospective riders excited about the sport. The new publication is a merely a rider publication in very loose terms. It has just become a poorly disguised advertising venue. It would not matter if they were selling lawn mowers. As far as I am concerned the Mo-Co is as far removed from its roots as the new Indian is from the old.
