Great pix/link, Cory! ... and I think I noticed something significant in the rocker and valve arrangement. It appears that Hedstrom's heads had the larger rocker opening the two larger valves directly above the cylinder for intake, and the smaller rocker with the two smaller valves underneath the larger rocker for the exhaust, in effect putting the valves "in-line" with the direction of intake flow from the carburetor (exhaust also in-line with exit port), ... When Harley cast his heads (3 yrs later?) he placed the intake valves equally adjacent to the port (didn't he?), and likewise with the exhaust, effecting a lineal flow from intake port to exhaust port, which should better serve a cam set with overlapping exhaust/intake timing, equals more hp at higher rpm.
Wonder if they had uneven idling like today's cammers.
