  • Ken Edmiston

I had some time to kill this afternoon and stopped at a newstand and picked up a Traditional Rod and Kulture magazine. I couldn't find anything motorcycle related to read and seeing that Kenny Edmiston's '36 Chief was featured, I figured it was worth perusing. In the article there is a link http://www.good-sam.com/about/commer...p?comm=english to a clip from the Good Samaritans Society that has some footage of him riding the bike. I figured that anyone here that knew him might get a grin out of it. It's about half way (or was it close to the end of?) the video. Oh, and I couldn't get the english version to work but the spanish version did. He was 84 years young at the time.

    Kenny

    Hey Cory,
I couldn't get the video to work, but it doesn't matter. Kenny was quite the Indian Guy. He was a Seattle Cosack also, claiming that they had to practice EVERY DAY, despite the Seattle rains. That Chief he's on is a 96"er that Jerry Chin now owns. Kenny coached and pitted for Jerry as he learned the Class C flat track routine. I learned more just hanging around and listening.
    Great stuff!
    Thanks, RF.

Hey Fred, did ya scroll down to the bottom of the page and try the spanish version? It worked for me. It's worth a try just to see the grin on his face. There's something to be said about a Laughing Indian Rider!!!

Thanks for posting that Scott. I've talked to a lot of people over the years that spoke highly of Ken. Very interesting video. Your right......you just have to hold the the ol' mouse pointer over the image and the video plays.......
