    Tank emblem mounts

I am looking for original type tank emblem mounting strips for 1947-1950 and 1951-1954 Harley. I know these were sold as reproductions a few years ago but I can't find who is making or selling them.

I have just purchased some 47-50 NOS ones from Harbor Vintage off ebay. They may have more. If not I may be willing to trade mine but I won't be sure until I get my tanks back in a week or two.

You can get the mount strips from any H-D dealer. The new ones have an adhesive tape on the back for mounting. A little work with a gasket scraper and your favorite solvent and they are ready to weld on. You may need to drill a couple of holes to "spot" weld through on certain types.

Chris....if you want dimensions on the style up to 54, I have a set mounted on a set, of factory of tanks. I can provide them for you. You could make your own if you don't obtain a set. Paps

Thanks, but I don't want the goofy sticky backed Taiwan strips. They don't look like the originals. I know repops of the originals were available just a few years ago. I just can't remember where I was getting them.

            Thanks PA,
I have a few here myself. I just need a few more to restore tanks with.
