        It worked this time.
Great photos. One photo brings back stories from Ray Weiser, Ernie Magri and a few of the other old time Fort Sutter and Stockton MC members. The group photo on the deck of the Delta Queen. This riverboat, and its brother the Delta King, ran from Sacramento to San Francisco down the Sacramento River and across the San Francisco bay. These oldtimers told me many stories of their hijinks and gambling on these riverboats on overnite journeys to San Francisco. They would load their bikes on deck so they had transportation when they arrived. I gotta say if any of the stroies I heard happened today that Homeland Security would be on them in a flash. But in those days it was just fun.
The Delta King no longer travels the Sacramento River to San francisco. It is tied up at the dock in Sacramento and is a hotel/restaurant. But the Delta Queen still carries passengers up an down the river. But not the Sacramento River. After WWII the Delta Queen took her longest journey and now earns her keep on the Mighty Mississippi. But she still flies the California flag.
