Hey Chris,
I've been away from the plastic box here for some time, and I'm not to good at it anyway. But I noticed your post on Jerry Turner here. Was wondering what brings it up?
Jerry is a true friend to vintage bikes (cars & planes also), and he even used to host the California Indian Runs on his property some years back. His 500 acres wrecking yard is supposedly the worlds largest! And I believe its all as a result of homesteading!!!!!!!!!!
So what brings Jerry up? I hope it's all good?

All good as far as I know. I only mentioned it because last time I spoke with Jerry he mentoned that he was going to be selling a lot of complete bikes. No parts, just complete bikes. I asked him how many bikes he had. he asked all together or just American. I said just American. He replied about 1,200.Be sure to visit;

1200 American bikes!! Holy s**t! That's almost as many as Hartung ( says he has) Has he got any unrestored Cyclones ? I'm looking for a barn find project bike preferably original paint. Better get over there quick Red!Comment

Wow, I don't remember that many, but I was only in the inner-sancdom. Perhaps he keeps the Harleys out back somewhere! Sorry Chris, couldn't resist. Actually, he has 3 airplane hangars full of bikes, on what used to be a landing strip. His wrecking yard biz has engulfed the area, and now his planes are land locked. Well, this was over 15 years ago anyway. But he did have various 4ours, encluding some Aces. I remember him stripping the tank off of an original paint '38 Jr. Scout, as his shortened Chief hot rod has sprung a leak in it's Jr Scout tanks. He thought nothing of violating the little JR for the donor original paint tank.
Jerry always wins the field events with his shortened, cut-down, bobber Chief by the way.

He has a place up at Bass Lake also. He used to host the Indian Runs there on his property. Great fun had by all. Apparently there was a lot of cars at this location at one time also, just sitting around, on thier roofs!Comment
