  • Wheels Through Time Auction

Here is some news that will interest everyone. I just spoke with Dale Walksler and he has decided to pull the plug on the Auction this September. He has decided to keep the collection in tact. He still plans to move to Prescott AZ, however he is taking everything Day by Day. I got to spend a week at the museum a few weeks ago, and had an Awesome time working late at night in the shop with Dale and Calvin Burnett. Anytime you can spend a week playing with OLD iron and handling machinery like the stuff he has, I could easily become a Wheels Through Time Junkie who works for FREE!!! Good Luck Dale - Had an Awesome Time - Thanks Also to Matt Walksler

Wow! That's pretty big news. When I spoke with him at Oley Dale seemed really pumped about the auction and having Canadian auctioneeer extraordinaire RM doing it. Maybe he thinks the bubble is bursting, there seem to be a lot of hard to sell Chiefs out there these days.

Good to hear the collection is staying togather. Now if Dale will just figure a way to keep it in the eastern half of the U.S. I will continue to make an annual visit.
Best of Luck Dale & Matt

I spoke with Dale a few days ago and he did say the auction is off and he is still planning on moving to Arizona BUT he indicated that he'd consider selling off a few of the bikes.

We'll see, but either way I wish Dale and Matt Walksler the best whichever way they go.

        Great people with great machines!

A few weeks ago, I recieved an envelope from Dale, with a note that he was selling the Pope twin from the Bud Ekins/ Steve McQueen collection. Enclosed were some Pope decals that came with the bike when he purchased it.
I sure hope he moves to somewhere easily visited by this mid-westerner.
