      Another great is gone. I hope that '08 isn't as bad as '07 was. We've lost a pile of members in the last year or so. It sounds as though Connie lived a full life. RIP.

        That was a very nice write-up.

        It's sad to see another old timer gone. There aren't many left who rode in the 1930s, saw the first knucklehead, and knew guys like Hap, Squibby, Fats, Joe, etc. from that golden decade. Connie had lots of good stories are truly loved the sport. Adios, old timer!

          Connie helped me a lot. He was not only an expert motorcyclist and historian, but a fine gentleman in every respect.

            Charlie Carter introduced me to Connie many years ago at Davenport. He was the epitome of a gentleman from an America that's all to rapidly going away. All we can say is, we're richer for having known him.
