Rub, you should just be able to click on the Browse tab on the attach file section at the bottom of the page. It should open a window that asks you to choose a file. If it's in your Pictures file, just click on your selected picture and click O.K. When you hit submit reply it should post your pic. At least that's how I do it. But I guess AKA Hawg already said as much. Some people use picture hosting sites.

There are size limits to the photos you can attach. Max of 800x800 pixels or 190K. Typically photos straight out of any modern digital camera greatly exceed those limits and will need to be reduced prior to attaching. Your digital camera may have come with software allowing photo resizing/manipulation. As well your computer's operating system may well have a photo editor of some sort that will allow you to shrink photos prior to posting them.

For example, I'm running Windows XP on a laptop and it includes Microsoft Photo Editor (click Image->Resize to resize a photo with it), but for resizing photos I prefer to use the software shipped with my camera, Adobe Photoshop Elements (I think it does a better job). If you're a Mac user I think iPhoto is one way you can resize pictures ... Perry

Thanks guys but none of that helps. Already resized as that was one of the first things I tried. I'm stumped and frustrated so no pics for now.

Go to the "practice posting" threads and go back over the last year of posts. There are some instructions for us people that had trouble posting pictures. I had to use a picture hosting site.

                    Photo posting..couple of misc. things

                    Howdy Chaps,

Couple of things on photo posting with this (vBulletin) forum:

                    - If you do resize with a pc based image application make sure the resized file is saved as a common .jpg or .gif - some app's automatically save them as executables - like .mix - for later editing unless you indicate otherwise which though viewable on your pc are not on the net.

                    - On slower connections, sometimes both your post and the image won't successfully upload or there is a delay in the image displaying. If following submit and auto return to your post, wait a moment and then hit the reload button (two green arrows next to the home in Internet Explorer) while holding your shift key down. If it hasn't loaded for sure, then hit the edit button and try re-submitting the image.

                    - For some reason, have occasionally had problems getting a pic to post when "replying" to a thread, rather, had to start a new thread to get it to post.

                    - You're limited to one image loading per post - you won't get any prompt the others aren't loading as you browse and select any images after the first one. When you see multiple images in one post - like Darryl's BMW post - those are merely links to images hosted at another site (just put mouse over image, right click and select properties to see where they are).

                    - Try giving your image a simple alpha/numeric name - like bubbas50blackshadow.jpg - with no spaces, avoiding symbols and characters that might cause problems with vBulletin load (anything in the ascii table) browser display.

It's the dead of winter now chaps, riding's limited and an occassional break's needed from the shop, let's keep the next chapter of the AMCA's ongoing online coffee table book growing with some new pics!
