I don't mind waiting for the mag, but it's just hard to take when someone in Finland, not to mention Canada, gets their's before members in the states. How does that happen? Do they get mailed airmail to Europe while we get bulk mailing?

Mine has not arrived yet here in England. It is normally about 3 weeks after you start to get them in the States. It seem like they ship a pallet of them to a distribution centre in France. They are then shipped to the rest of the world including New Zealand. Although this is the other side of the world from me It arrives there about 2 weeks before I get mine.
This subject is discussed each time the magazine is due Cant who ever it is that arranges the distribution let the membership know how the distribution is works?.

                  Howdy Chaps,

...pallet to France, eh? Sounds like remail which is used regularly for large volume publications (National Geographic).

If you're receiving your mag via mail and it has been posted in a country other than the U.S. (assumption that our mag is printed here) then it was handled via remail wherein the pallet load is shipped to an intermediate country (Netherlands/Germany, to name a few) where - depending on the services requested by the shipper - it is processed (may include up to final packing and labeling), generally including sorting by region/country group for the PO, posted and then dropped at the commercial-side of that PO.

Not only is this far more economical, but often faster as the first leg of this journey is generally by air, and having been handling individually less during this leg of that journey, the magazine suffers less wear.

Well, now I'm wondering. I moved as of Sept.1, and I sent in a change of address card to the Wingers. My membership shows the new address, but mayhaps the magazine got sent to the old place, and the P.O. has stopped forwarding after 90 days?

                                I hope not.......
