Springer studs

Since this doesn't fit in to the normal categories, I guess this is the most appropriate category. Now here is a Harley brain twister. The rear rocker stud on a big twin springer is #45672-31. The Springer stud side is 1/2" and The fender side 3/8". The studs I got were 7/16" not 1/2". The 3/8 side was the same. For that sake the stud is the same with the exception of the 7/16" stud. I've checked every book I have with no explanation. I'm depending on ya boys. Bob

It's 1930 only and would have a -30 part number. In 31 they increased the size ... Perry
