WWII H-D medal

I came across a medal that was said to be an original medal that was awarded to soldiers during WWII. This medal had a green ribbon w/ white stripes; medal itself had brass looking wings and it said Harley-Davidson on it. My question is if anyone knows exactly what this would be and any more detail that might go with it like any dates, battles, etc. Thanks in advance.
