    Martin,
My dog ain't in this ongoing fight. Don't personally know either party envolved. But we are being charged for your desires. As Eric stated good threads with amazing info come to a standstill when the bickering starts. This is a great forum. Your participation has added to the knowledge base on several occations. But your repetitive message, as valid as it may be, is "costing" the participants of this forum who are here to learn as well as share info regarding our passion. Folks are leaving this forum going to other options where the personal issues don't interupt the flow of knowledge. Those of us who value the knowledge are paying a price ! Johnny Whitsett

What kindergarten do you guys go to? I'm finished totally.
Tell me why anybody would want to be associated with this sort of carry on.
Years ago my Scottish grandfather told me to"Treat others as you expect to be treated yourself" and to "Talk issues not personalitys"
If personal attacks on fellow club members is the norm over there in the USA then I feel your society is in real trouble.
Sure talk about issues but keep personalitys out of it and then if the cap fits someone will have to wear it.
60 years old, 45 years riding motorcycles, I just don't need this childish sort of behavour.
See you on the road one day.
      Tommo.

Wow Johnny, that was foresight for sure! Losing Tommo on this forum means another great knowledge is lost....

I was going to make a request to Martin. I was wondering what the chances would be of sharing some productive knowledge about the earlier machines? I don't know near enough about them for my tastes and soak up any info I can find. This would include being able to spot repo from original if one was ever to face that situation. Something to ponder....... and let's quit the squabbling this board is getting slow enough as it is.......

I've looked at other motorcycle forums and I believe the AMCA forum is the best for my interest. I like the low key look of it and the vast history of posts going back a fair number of years now. It seems like anyone that posts a question gets an answer or at least a bunch of new questions to investigate. This is also a very friendly place with a few exceptions but the overall atmosphere is quite pleasant. I know everyone here is like me in that you can't get enough of old motorcycles. This forum is the perfect place to read and learn about other peoples bikes, bikes that we'll never be able to afford, and stuff you wouldn't touch with a ten foot motorcycle pole. You just can't buy this kind of information. I find the possible loss of Jurrasic, Tommo or Martin to be very distressing and hope they reconsider. These are the kind of members that add so much to the collective value of this forum and have certainly added to my own knowledge.

For my 2 cents worth, I have given up on this forum as well and in reality, you lost Tommo some time ago. I tend to like to deal in facts not personel opinions or personalities such as are on this post. This has grown very stale----Michael

I'm not giving up on nothing ! There have always been folks on this forum who have forgotten more about antique motorcycles than I will ever know. They shared, and I tried to obsorb. I contribute when the opportunity is there. This is my one last effort to convey,in a civilized manner, the effect these repetetive personal attacks are having. Sadly, if this doesn't soak in, I feel that INLINE is correct with his request for a moderator.
I think we all need a good spring ride! Anyone know anything about early OHV motorcycles. Sure would like to learn more, and see more photo's. jww

I'm with Johnny, I'm staying with the AMCA. This forum is only as good as the people who support it. If it's stale it's because members aren't using it. Hell, talk is cheap, it costs nothing to participate here so why would club members boycott this website because of a few very minor spats.

                    • I’m with you guys. I see no reason to give up on this forum just because a few of the guys have got a beef with one another.

It kind of reminds me of my younger years when I would walk into an unfamiliar watering hole and notice a couple of folks having a disagreement over a game of pool or such, which I knew was not going to end well. I would just give them the room they were going to need to finish their business and I would go about my business. No big deal and certainly no reason to leave.

I learn so many things here about vintage motorcycles that I would otherwise never learn that there is no way I’m walking away from all this knowledge. So, for all you guys that I rely on to answer my dumb questions from time to time. Please hang around and continue to share your knowledge and experience with the rest of the guys like me that have yet to reach your level . -Steve

                      • Hi All:
The fuss on this forum all relates to the different ways we have of persuing this wonderful hobby of ours. To lose two of the best experts on early bikes (jurassic and tommo) over the rantings of martin is most unfortunate, and he should ceace and desist from now on, or risk his membership.
Replicas? I have a couple in my collection of otherwise original bikes, and it is these of which I am most proud. Why? Because they are of models that are extinct and would not be seen or their history told otherwise. It is all about telling our history. A restored Indian Chief or Harley knucklhead doesn't do as much of that, as their history has been re-told many times over. A good replica of machine created from historical pictures if done right is, believe me, many times more work than any restoration.
