The passing of great resource and even better fellow

Sadly I learned of the passing on May 21st of my friend and mentor, Tom Phillips. He was a unending source of information on the late 30's and forties flathead bikes. Look at the acknowledgements page on Dale Palmer's Restoration book. Tom introduced me to over half of those fellows between 1988 and 1993 when we traveled around to meets together. He will be sorely missed, so crack a cold one, light a cigar, and enjoy a brat by the fire if you ever met him.
