  • Introduction

    Hello,
As a new member I thought I’d throw a quick bio together, with a picture of my baby. I’ve been an avid rider and wrench since I was 19.
I’m currently retired. I worked for 40 years in the medical industry first servicing medical equipment, then managing service at various levels.
I was able to attend the 13 month Harley program at Motorcycle Mechanics Institute in 2002 while working. I’m a decent mechanic.
I live in a small rural area in Nevada called Smith Valley and have joined the Comstock chapter.
I'm hoping to become an active member by finding ways I can personally contribute as a member.

Welcome to the club Doug. Try to make a trip over to the AMCA Dixon meet coming up this June. I love that part of Nevada along Hwy 395 and always make a point to stop at the Topaz Lake and lodge. For years I wanted to move there but could not get the wife to go for it. Actually making plans to make my annual Hwy 395 run through there. Usually spend a few nights between Carson City and Lee Vining. Terry

            Doug,

Welcome, it is nice to see riders join and contribute to the AMCA community.
That is a nice Panhead, cleanly done along with excellent stopping power added to the front end.

Yep the brakes are a little over the top.

Welcome Doug. Nice to see the AMCA's efforts to recruit young members is working!!
(I'd guess were both about the same age and still young enough to have fun, right?)
