  • The Antique Motorcycle Spring Issue Volume 65, No. 2

Why is there on page 11 thru 13 a 'promotion' of a new ONLY CONCEPT of a new 4 cylinder motorcycle?

I support a capitalist free market and hope JT Nesbitt succeeds greatly in his venture.

But, why is this in our magazine that is supposed to be centered around antique motorcycles? Even going with the 35 year rule this doesn't even come close. It's not a new manufactured part to fit an older bike, its a new, according to the article, "Currently, the machines exist only in Nesbitt's fertile imagination and the remarkable realistic AI-generated images seen here, though there is a non-running engine in the metal". Then asking for money for this concept. Can we even use AI and antique motorcycle in the same sentence?

All this is great for his venture, but does this belong in our antique magazine? I'm pretty light hearted on this forum and try to joke around, but really, do other members feel that this new concept 4 cylinder is relevant to what this club is all about. Who We Are - The Antique Motorcycle Club of America

No disrespect to MR. Nesbitt, and I wish him the best, but what does his new concept have to do with our club? Are we going to start writing about every new BMW, Honda, KTM, etc. I belong to AMA for that. Love our magazine and all the volunteer input, but this is a little out of the antique realm for me. Opinions?

I agree with you 100%, does not belong here. The only reference to Antique Motorcycle is that it was inspired by an antique motorcycle.

I agree Bob and immediately thought same when I saw it. Falls way outside the scope of AMCA. Hopefully this isn't a hint at the added content/pages we are supposed to get by going to 4 issues per year.
Follow the money.....I suspect. What other reason could there be?

I would be okay with a paid advertisement but not an article.

I haven't received mine yet but I'm not surprised. The club mag is being turned into exactly what the Editors previously did at their former jobs. And those rags no longer exist!

I agree with Bob. I always get in trouble for my narrow minded AMCA parameters but I say 1953 is antique, and up to 1970 is allowed. After that it is a modern motorcycle and belongs in a different club. I could go on and on, but I usually get a bloody nose for perusing that.
