Searching for Joe DeBaker who was HD dealer in Davenport & found 48 photos that recently sold on ebay. Sadly the pic of Johnny Powers on what looks like a DL or RL Hillclimber at 1939 Carbon Cliff, has his head missing. John & Roy Egeberg's father Charles had a bicycle shop before motorcycles Indian until 1948 when Roy changed to HD. Homer Miller 2nd Novice heat race & 3rd in finals.

Daytona 1947 Homer Miller # 111 out of 185 entrants, Bob Stuth Milwaukee racer, Charles Egeberg bicycles Minneapolis MN , father of Roy & Johnny, what is the motorcycle? Roy Egeberg raced at Daytona on Indian pre war & was on the Competition Committee

If you scroll up to post 16 it shows Stuth as #6 at 1948 Milwakee, I think Charles' bike looks more like an early Reliance or Erie which was a rebadged Reliance sold by MECO,The frame is closer to Reliance than anything else.Pic from The American Motorcycles1869-1914 by Steven Wright

It is obvious that the 6 is drawn square to the pic not the bike. 1939 WLDR with one year only ride control. Here is a few pics of Ed Kretz Jr at Peoria. I don't have all of the programs but Ed Sr was at Peoria in '48 on Indian. Jr shows up in 1951 on Triump using his Dad's #38 with R for Amateur. 1st pic is his bikes & trailer later than '51 taken by my friend Everett Schilling. Ed Sr is in the pic. Jr won 80" class in '55. 3rd pic Ed Jr #33 & Joe Leonard #98 in 1956. 4th pic 1956 winners 84x amateur Dick Mann 1st, 98 Joe Leonard 2nd, 33 Ed Kretz Jr 3rd. Ed Jr rode Triumph 5TA #H7882 in 1960 Peoria, maybe his last at Peoria.
