  • TransAmerican Motorcycle Endurance Run 2025

Here is a link I copied from the Vintagent site for those interested.

Cross-Country Antiques: the First Transam | The Vintagent

Greg Williams wrote the article and I see at least one active forum member participated. Didn't see any discussion or heads up on this forum or our magazine, did I overlook it?

Bob I do not know if it was discussed here. I probably should have started a discussion about it as I think I am one of few from this site that was on the run. I finished 11th overall. I had a perfect score but the first tie breaker is age of the bike and my bike was one of the newest on the event. I rode a 1925 JD Harley Davidson. There were 14 perfect scores and there were 4 1925 motorcycles and I won the 2nd tie breaker which is age of the rider hence giving 11th place.

That's great Jerry, I'm glad you did so well. I was just disappointed not knowing about it, as I always enjoyed following the previous Cannonball and Cross Country Races. Just wish there was more of a heads up to us not in that loop. I think I read in the article the girl organizing it was worried about community support, letting the AMCA members know could have helped I would think. Again, maybe I just missed it and it's my fault. Glad to have found out about it, even late.

I think there were ads in the magazine regarding the Motorcycle TransAM. FYI, there is another one coming in 2027, and Kelsey and Competition Distributing hope to have them every other year. There is also another run being put on by Bill Page I believe caller "The Loop" that will be open to much newer machines and I believe will start and end in the same location.

Very nice bike Jerry. Just being there and part of the ride had to be a great time. Tough to "Win" an endurance race against all of those nice 4's :-)

I followed the trip and actually rented a small Janus Halycon and was able to head a bit west across the Blue Ridge Parkway to Maggie Valley to see the riders arrive at Wheels Through TIme and chat with a few. Very neat ride and lost of nice machines (and nice for me to get away on a motorcycle, somethign I had not done in a few years.

Thanks for the link Bob! I was just thinking I hadn't ran across anything on the event, results, stories, etc. I'm a social media holdout. I knew it was coming and when it started but nothing else after.
Greg Williams articles in the AMCA mag have been really well done.
