The post says the decision has been made, four issues, but it would be interesting to see what this small forum participants think.
Lots of good comments but for what? Future decisions maybe.

Chuck , nobody said anything about limiting the club to pre war bikes. It’s pre electronics where we need done scrutiny. And why have expenses been adding up that we didn’t have 10years ago?
a smaller focused club is better than a bigger one that collapses under ur own weight.
much of what u said is just a guess , and a wrong guess , as to what people value as to membership .
the magazine is more important than judging over restored bikes to me. As the local chapter moved to a different state I don’t belong to it. The magazine is what makes me feel part of the club. When you cut issues you’re cutting me. Wether you want to acknowledge that or not

        .
Well that’s wrong and possibly illegal .
back aways in this thread said they just joined and the thank you letter says he is getting 6 issues of the mag? If I read that correctly. Now if they send only four
        isn’t that breech of contract?

          Chuck,

The 14,000 member include the paid Associate members who do not receive a magazine, thus printing 11,500.

            please reread my comment.

i pointed out we have been touting the growth of our club.

whilst the numbers have grown, the revenue is not the same as if we grew full dues paying members. $5 associate members aren’t full revenue.

we are giving the impression of success, but our p&l says otherwise.

            So, is this growth sustainable?

For example, what happens when the primary person dies or drops?

Do we expect the associate to pick up the membership? Or, do we lose two members at one swoop?

This has nothin* to do with the magazine, but it has everything to do with our future as a club.

I always find numbers, charts, and graphs fun, math is very interesting as to how it is presented.
