What is the best way to repair a springer front fork. The legs were electric welder in but cracked. We tried silver soldering nut it cracks also. Any suggestions? Thanks, eap54

Welding at a much higher temperature over the original silver-solder, Eap,

Caused 'admixture' of the dissimilar alloys into the steels, resulting in the cracking,

And irreversibly ruining the metal.
