  • Tail light bracket, identification

Thank You in Advance for any posts to this question.

This bracket came to me in a buy-out of a long time Indian collector. But I am not sure about this one. All of the other items I got were Indian 1920-35, if that helps

I'm not positive, but I believe thats the tail light bracket I used when I put together my '45 Chief EU. I had several different rear fenders, some with clips under the left side of the fender for the wiring harness. The civilian fenders, according to my research, were all different. Some had a small hole, about 1" for the wires, while another civilian fender (non skirted) had a larger hole, for the taillight same as a '46-'47. The fender with the small hole didnt have the holes drilled for the bracket. According to Greer, he makes a facsimile, but it doesn't look like the original, which is what you have. Apparently, the original one are very hard to find. Thats all I got... Good Luck

Thank You, for clearing that up. I have had that item for decades, just never could put all the clues together.
