Indian Motorcycle Company has just announced that they have purchased the Harley-Davidson Motor Company. Here is a cover release story from the Associated Press*(AP).
With a heavy heart, the CEO of Hardly-Davidson, Jochen Zeitz has just announced today that the Harley-Davidson Motor Company has been sold to it’s old rival, The Indian Motorcycle Company. Zeitz expressed that we at Harley-Davidson are saddened by what has transpired, but after many unfortunate setbacks and dwindling motorcycle sales throughout the World, it is imperative that the Motor Company settle this dilemma with dignity, and pass the torch to our friends at Indian. We would like to personally thank each and everyone of our loyal customers & employee’s that have stuck with us through the Good Times, and also the trying days we weathered over our traditional long history at The Harley Davidson Motor Company.
