I just read that Hurricane Milton made landfall at Sarasota. I think that's where Eric lives, hopefully he's ok.

I spoke with Eric yesterday and got a message from his wife this morning. They hunkered down and rode it out. She said "House and people OK" and later "Huge amount of cleanup, several weeks worth". I spoke with Charlie Carter yesterday as well, and got a message from him this morning. They survived OK in Orlando as well, but as he said, he now is the general manager of Charlies Boat Dock and Mosquito Farm. His yard has standing water but otherwise survived OK it seems.
