    >>Davenport<<

HiYa. I see that the Davenport swap still has Field Games. Gee, explain how does the 'Little' Chief Blackhawk motorcycle club do this as opposed to the 'BIG' ole' AMCA? I wonder if that prime land behind the food vendors, that was once used for the field games, will open up for new vendors in 2025?

Not that I agree them but the national told us not to have field games due to liability.

Davenport hasn't been an AMCA meet for at least a decade. So no National involvement.

        I'm confused as usual, M.A.D.!

The few food vendors have been lined up along the stadium, with the 'lounge' in the middle, where drinks, and ice in the flimsiest bags possible, are sold. The prime land would have to be the track.

("Breakfast" is sold at the west-side pavilion, but it is already surrounded by vintage vendors.)

My best guess is they hold the games on the far south side in parking areas. It seems like I sign a liability release just to vend.

More may be happening due to national involvement.

Can I blame it on the AMCA then, Tom,...

That they're opening the gates on Wednesday?

            I love conspiracies.

I should have been more clear. The meet I mentioned that they told us no for liability reasons is a national meet not Davenport.

Field games have been cancelled for this year's event, Folks!

Meanwhile, Providence willing, I shall be at my usual booth (opposite the little white schoolhouse "museum"), but probably not until Thursday as usual.

Starting a day early means many will leave a day early.

Are you a Deere fan, Chris?

I shall have a collection of early pamphlets, and a beautimous large frameable lithographed thresher piece.

(If it were 'motorcycle', it would all be worth mucho, but farmers are tighter than a fat lady's yoga pants in line at Walmart.)

No interest in Tractors. They have a great indoor swap meet there with everything imaginable. I do like watching the steam powered stuff run.

The more the National gets their fingers in the pie , the locals may have to get their own insurance.

How they gonna do that, Tom?

Chief Blackhawk is totally independent of the "National".

For those interested in Davenport history, I shall have a nineteenth century copy of the Chief's autobiography on my tables...

Of course the Chief Blackhawk is totally independent of the "National". When I mentioned locals it meant local chapters.
