  • Carb Rebuild

    Have a 70s Lectron carb for a vintage V-Twin (HD) project. No serial number is evident on the body. Lectron says the "carb was built in the mid to late 70's very early model Lectron as they were introduced in `74" and "The carb is unfortunately non-rebuildable".
    Question, is there anyone or any company that can do what Lectron says can't be done? ThanX! in Advance

    Not profitably, Lonnie!

    So it shall be your cross to bear. Are you certain its broken?

    The buzzword 'rebuild' is meaningless; Prepare to become the unchallenged global expert!

    PS: I'd stock up on the rubber manifold snoot appliance if you can.

    PPS: "Not rebuildable" is late 20th-Century speak for no kits offered.

      Lonnie;
      When you look at some of the early carbs and how people have been able to keep them in service anythings possible.

      When I saw your post I did a quick fb search and found that on the AMCA fb site a Mr. Steve Griffin had posted the following in 2021:

      Lectron carb A.jpg Lectron carb B.jpg Lectron carb C.jpg Lectron carb D.jpg

        Gonna be tough to source parts for that one. The rebuild kit wasn't even available after about 1981. You could ask your local dealer to do a parts search for you.
