  • Hose Clamps

I have the old original style hose clamps on the oil lines from the oil tank on my '70 FLH. What is the proper way to remove these clamps without damaging them, so that I will be able to reuse them? Is there a special tool or trick? Thanks - Ted

Sorry, but I don't know a special trick to remove the clamps. When I was working for a dealership in the '70s we just clipped them off and replaced them. I do have special pliers to crimp them in place. I believe they were made by Keystone Tools. However, I recently saw similar clamps being used by a plumber on some fittings for plastic tubing. I suspect that th original type still exist somewhere. Anyone know? Robbie

I believe the clamps are still available from H-D.
