  • 1972 Bikes

As RSmith points out in the Japanese section,in a couple of weeks 1972 bikes will be eligable.

That kind of makes the V-Rod a ticking time bomb.

Suits me, I just got my 72 BMW R75/5 running on Sunday and was pleasantly suprised by the ride, power and smooth operation. It will likely live here for a while. Not that eligibilty really matters as I won't be having it judged and I will be taking earlier machines on the road runs. Its just nice to know that I can ride it to a meet and won't be denied parking or have anybody cuss me and throw sticks. Variety is a good thing. Joe Martin, if you're out there, you were right, the toaster tank is a fine machine.

      Ain't no guarantee!
My '37 Knuck was denied into the D-port pavilion when I wanted to participate in the first "Period Modified" judging.
(And nobody was smiling, I assure you.)

      Too ratty I guess.
I was gonna put some cardboard under it, honest!
