Something to do with this new "Groups" BS. I probably won't be doing much on here any more with all the hoops and nonsense. I like old motorcycles, but I don't like "groups" with all their self important feel. Too much like Facebook which I left long ago. This hobby is going downhill fast.

Wow. What you describe is like the exclusionary behaviors that i experienced from member-cliques when i was a young member of the AMCA in the late 70's through the mid-80's. So much for fostering good will, friendship and fellowship.

Here's a couple pic of me in the Black Hills, September 28, 1982. i was the 2nd owner of this '48 Chief, that had 4,500 miles on the clock when i took ownership.

DO I have to join every group?
Did someone think this is a better way to manage the maybe ten posts a day on this site?

I wonder who, if anyone, was asked if they wanted this selective "Groups" system. If I am a AMCA member in good standing and am logged on to the Forum, why should I not have simple access and be "authorized" to view any and all posts as before instead of - "Sorry, you are not authorized to view this page."
NOT PLEASED with this needless restriction!
          I don't get it and that's my 2 cents.

I did not just re-up my membership to have ANY access restricted on any AMCA site, forum, group, topic, thread, or ANYTHING else AMCA related. I haven't run into it yet but from what I'm reading here......it'll be happening. I SO much look forward to and rely on the infinitely valuable posts by Rubone, Cotten, and the MANY other posters who are expressing their dissatisfaction with the "new changes" starting to happen around here. I would really hate to see these most valued posters not coming on here anymore. IF it ain't broke.....DON'T FIX IT!!!!!.............Smitty

I think it's a fluke, I've had it happen on pages I frequent 3-4 times a week. Wrote nastygrams to "contact us" & never a reply. I try the same page later or the next day & it works fine.
I'd like to see more people on this forum.

"Groups" have been around since at least 09-06-2014, Folks,..

That's when I created the American Carburetors group, and nobody noticed all these years until a new member posted there, and suddenly everybody found "Groups", and its a confusing diversion. But nothing to rag about.

I find little there, some dead Groups without even a post. Nothing denies me access; It all seems more appropriate for the main forum.

I'll bet the vBulletin template will not allow the feature to be deleted.

Too bad this new software thing didn't have the capacity to do a straw poll like may other forums I belong to. Personally I wold be sad if the "movers and shakers" of this forum left. I hope some sort of happy medium can be arrived at. I mean no disrespect to anyone. I have owned and ridden American motorcycles since 1968 and nothing will ever change that.

                          I'd think, Micmac,...

After nine years they would have left already.

                          Here's an idea!

Everybody post facebook and ebay stuff to "groups"!

I haven't noticed anything different but could it be because I haven't joined a group. I just noticed the "Groups" tab since it was brought up in this thread. Maybe the bugs need worked out but anything that creates more of an administrative headache and limitations for members is generally not a good thing. Not sure if this issue is related to Mike Loves post asking for patience or not.

And Steve - Post #3 those pics are AWESOME!
