  • 1st time at Oley

I am bring my 1913 Emblem (conserved) to Oley next week (have never been to a meet of this size before).
Since I only have one bike I will be parking my bike with another member.
Question, should I consider asking / paying for a scoring, (just for personal awareness).

By scoring I assume you are talking about judging? They require preregistration starting this year so they can arrange a marque specialist to be present though they haven’t been enforcing this. So my advice is; if they’ll judge it go for it! Any insight will help you improve the bike.

Judging Pre-registration closes 3 weeks prior to a meet so technically, you can't register. But you could try calling AMCA customer service ASAP (855) 398-8688.
or maybe Chief Steve Slocombe will chime in here.
As far as if you should have it judged, doesn't hurt to get a baseline if you are unsure of what is authentic or not. As long as you don't enter judging expecting a certain result, it will be fine!

As Event Chief Judge for Oley judging this year, we will allow walk-in registrations on Friday during pre-registration check in at the administration building. We will need someone who knows the 1913 Emblem motorcycle before it will be accepted on the judging field on Saturday. Our team will make inquiry to determine if there is a qualified judge for your motorcycle. And welcome to your first trip to the Oley National Meet. We look forward to seeing your interesting motorcycle.

If two Emblems show up, Folks...

Which one would be the judge?

I could not have expected a better outcome from my visit to Oley. The support from Michael Terry, Jimmy and others allowed me to get the Emblem started after 70 Years!
Being awarded AMCA Perkiomen Chapter Oldest was the icing on the cake. Many thanks to Doug Strange.
