I was not so much interested in locking up the bike and/or helmet as I've {knock wood) never had an issue along those lines. I want to secure my invertor/generator (running or not) to my trailer or vehicle when I'm not near so it doesn't get legs which only takes a few seconds. The NOISE factor is what really grabbed my attention so I'm grateful for the lead.....I didn't mean to hijack the thread.....Smitty

The siren is certainly what makes this sort of security different. And these days when one parks an old bike at a Vintage Rally and then wants to wander off a few yards to look at some of the other old bikes, maybe take a picture or two, it is certainly one simple and easily set up additional level of protection.
Wish you good riding in '23.

is there such a thing as a GPS tracking device that can be put in the gas tank?

Don't know about putting it inside the gas tank but there are some very small transmitters which can be hidden in many places on a vehicle and which will allow it to be activated to determine the location it is at - or see on a receiver as to where it is and when it is being moved.

A Hayabusa would really be a risk, I bet, Folks!

But an antique machine should make common criminals scratch their heads until after you get back; None of them could start it and ride off.

If its a truck-off, they had to not only know you would be there, they had to group up to load in seconds, and hope to know a fence that can escape the interwebs.

Back in the day when curb theft was real, I just rode a rat. But I did get vandalized.
